Ok, I have a web application developed in Visual
Studio .NET. Until a few days ago, it worked fine...
then after I changed one HTML page (not even an ASP.NET
page), it suddenly stopped working, and every time I try
to access *any* page on this particular web server,
whether it's in the application I was working with at the
time or not, I get the following:

-------------------------------------------
Server Application Unavailable
The web application you are attempting to access on this
web server is currently unavailable. Please hit
the "Refresh" button in your web browser to retry your
request.

Administrator Note: An error message detailing the cause
of this specific request failure can be found in the
system event log of the web server. Please review this
log entry to discover what caused this error to occur.
-------------------------------------------

Now, I can't seem to find a log of this event in any of
the event logs I know of, and nothing I do seems to fix
the problem. Has anyone seen this before, and if so,
what might be the problem?

What OS are you on?
So the behavior happens with any page (HTM, ASP, ASPX) for a particular
application but other application on the same server work?
Can you create a new site and get the same behavior?
