Post subject: Entities question
Archived from groups: alt>www>webmaster (more info?)

Hi Group,

I have found I am unable to add ' in a line of text, I end up with a very
pretty question mark.
On research I have found I need to use an Entity. The correct one being
'
But then on further research I found this does not work in IE Sad

Now what I have not found is the work around. If I can not use this because
IE will not read it, what may I use instead.

Also as a matter of interest with these Entities, that the tobyinkster site
has taught me about, do I just run them in the middle of my text as below,
even though I am using a style sheet:

The quick brown "fox" jumped over the lazy dog

Many thanks

Jenny

Ok I worked out what is happening. If I copy it off from my site I get these
question marks. If I type it into textpad it comes out ok.
Weird this is. My pages on the net at present have been done in FP. Stioll
dont see why they would not copy across though.
