Archived from groups: alt>apache>configuration (more info?)

Hi

A customer wants to use a .htaccess file.

I have enabled this where i think it should go (see below) but the
..htaccess file
doesn't work.

The below seems to be the only config change required.

Any ideas?

(I am not particularly experienced with apache)

TIA

#
# AllowOverride controls what directives may be placed in .htaccess files.
# It can be "All", "None", or any combination of the keywords:
# Options FileInfo AuthConfig Limit
#
AllowOverride All

On the apache faq there is one question titled "my .htaccess
doesn't work". I think it's worth reading.

It took ne a few hours to get it right the first time through.
