Hi,

I'm in the process of building a website, however I'm having some difficulty
figuring out how to edit a PSD file to make it into HTML.

I have an index.html file already with the template, along with filled
images, and a folder with blank images. I have tried editing the blank
images to make buttons that would look good on my site, however it didn't
turn out the way I wanted them to. So now I think the PSD file is the
thing to edit in order to work this the way I hope it turns out.

If anyone has some time they wouldn't mind to offer a bit of support, you
can
email me at: heineken77 (AT) gmail . com

Thank you!! Smile

Paint Shop Pro 8 and possibly Paint Shop Pro 9
but since I only just received it via snail mail I have
not tested it yet.

I do know PSP8 can edit .PSD files.

Good luck,

A PSD file is a graphics format, right? Web pages are documents, not
graphics. Start with a document in a text format, such as TXT and then
convert that to HTML.

Hey, thank you for your reply Smile

Well mabye I didn't explain it well enough Smile

I actually have the HTML version of the template (index.html). However, the
button graphics that go along the top of the screen are not the ones I need.

There are no blank button images that came with the template. The only
thing I see that I can edit is the actual .psd file that came with the
template, in order to change the names of the buttons.

However, the top bar of buttons at the very top of the window, the buttons
are all different sizes in width. So the question is....for a
'not-so-experienced' web designer as myself, would it be possible to remake
that bar some how with the buttons I need?

I just need to get new button graphics, however I don't understand how I
will be able to slice the graphic in order to get those buttons to the exact
size I need.

ARGHHHH lol ... I'm so confused Sad

As I said, Paint Shop Pro 8. You can resize them I am sure to the size
you need. Good luck.
