Archived from groups: microsoft>public>inetserver>iis (more info?)

Hi;
I am running Windows XP Professional w/ SP 2. I just tried to install and
run IIS, which is required for a course I am taking. The program installed, I
then double clicked on the icon in Administrative Tools and the IIS interface
came up . I expanded the entry and navigated to Web Sites. The Default
Website came up in the right side window. I highlighted the entry, then
clicked on the RUN icon (the right facing triangle on the menu bar). An error
message came up "Unexpected error 0x8ffe2740 occurred." I have not been able
to find out what this error message indicates. What do I need to do to get
IIS running? Thanks.

Looks like you may have skype or some other program listening on port 80.
