Doubt

Hi, I need to do something wich interacts with webserver and the user
machine, I dont know what is the best solution, maybe IE ActiveX? For
example: on the end of a checkout commerce site the webserver needs to
generate a txt file and store it on the user machine... how can I do that?
The webserver is IIS and I would like to do something on VB 6...

How can I start? Can you send some articles, didatic materials, examples,
etc...

if all you need to do is store some text cookies will do it..
