Hi All,

I'm a Tomcat newbie and a Java light-weight. I just installed Tomcat
6.0 and ran it's Hello World servlet example. I want to learn how
Tomcat decomposes/translates the URL to identify the file to be
translated into HTML and JavaScript.

I know how this works in Ruby/Rails.

URL(s) for tutorials on this would be most appreciated. In the
meantime, I'm looking in the Tomcat documentation.

TIA,
Richard

I think http://localhost:8080/docs/appdev/deployment.html will serve
my purposes.
