My niece is unable to see the background image on a web page and neither of
us have the expertise to locate the problem. She can see images put on the
pages okay, but the background image specified in the body tag does not show
up. (I'm not there right at the moment, but I believe bgcolors do not show
up either).

She has windows XP.

Any ideas would be appreciated... Thanks in advance.

A single web page / site? Or all web pages?

If it's a specific page, then please give us the URL.

If it's all pages, then try changing browser from what I expect is your
default IE to something better (Firefox or Opera). Although it's
probably just some broken IE config setting, we can't see your machien
to fix it and so the easiest fix is probably to install a different
browser. As these are also a considerable improvement over IE, it's
worth doing anyway.

Similarly, I drive economically so as to annoy George W Bush and the
other oil barons.

Oppose Bush! Ride a bicycle!

Mouse gestures. Notes. Mail. IRC. Sessions. RSS. Newsreader. search.ini.
Site-specific prefs. All out of the box- no "extensions" needed. Once you
get used to it there's no going back. Smile
