OK. I really have read the documentation. I just don't understand it. I
don't have direct access to the Apache configuration files and just
find myself e-mailing guesses to the network administrator (who in this
regard is even more clueless than I).

All I'm looking to do is use plain old (non-mod_) perl for all scripts
executed from a particular directory tree. The server's running
Apache/2.2.2 on a WinServer2003 platform. I understand I need to do
something with one (or more) .conf files somehow involving SetHandler,
but don't know in which file (httpd.conf? perl.conf?), nor in which
section, how in need be formatted.

Could anyone possiblly see it on their heart to provide a quick
walkthrough on this?

Many, many thanks,
Jacob.
