I want to disable IIS in order to install another Web=20
server.
IIS is enabled on my Windows XP Pro, since when I do, I=20
am redirected to http://localhost/localstart.asp,=20
through a password window.=20
However, when I go to "services", I don't see any ISS-
related service (SMTP,=20
WORL WIDE WEB Publishing service, IIS admin, etc). When I=20
go to "Add/remove programs" (Windows components) IIS=20
appears as not installed.
What's wrong? IIS is enabled but I can't find it anywhere=20
in porder to disable it.=20
I know nothing about IIS. I only want to disable it or=20
uninstall it. Please help.
Thanks in advance.

Go to the Control Panel and click on Add/Remove Programs, then click on
Add/Remove Windows Components.
You'll find the option to uninstall it here.

As I said in my original post, when I go to Add/Remove=20
Windows Components, Internet Information Services is=20
UNCHECKED.

Do you have an Inetpub folder? How about \\windows\system32\inetsrv?
Are you absolutely sure you have IIS installed? And you're logged in
as a local administrator?
