Hi there.

I'm having a slight problem with directory listings on the Win32 (1.3.27)
version of Apache.

Basically, it will only perform directory listings in subdirectories of
'htdocs' (the default document folder) but not elsewhere. I've got about 20
VirtualHosts set up but only the one which takes the files from 'htdocs'
(which isn't even the primary vhost) gives a directory listing.

I can't move everything into the 'htdocs' folder because for disk space
requirements many of the VHosts are on other drives, both local and remote.

Anybody got any idea why it doesn't work?

Could it be a permissions conflict? Does the apache service had access
permission to those other local and drives?<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

Check your configuration file, maybe you have a -Indexes somewhere.
Also, check eventual .htaccess files in the VHosts that can
overrule that directive.

There's no .htaccess files anywhere, and definately no -Indexes.

Any other ideas?

Thanks!

Apache has access to the drives as it's able to bring back pages from all of
them fine. It just cannot index the directories/drives at all.

Some of the VHosts exist in the same folder as htdocs
../apache/htdocs/ - these ones exist in the apache folder alongside
htdocs) but even they have a problem with indexing.

Has anyone got any more ideas?

All help greatly appreciated Smile
