IIS 5.0
Windows 2000 Server
URL Scan 2.0
I have enabled Directory Browsing in one of the virutal Directories. It
works all right, except for some pdf files, first I was thinking it was
something to do with PDF. Then I realise there where some PDF files where
working.
eg. "P&L 2005.pdf" does not work because it has "&" symbol on it.
any file, which has & symbol on it, I can't download it/view it.
Any suggestions would be of gr8 HELP.
Thanks in advance >> Stay informed about: IIS Directory Browsing not working, when file names have &.. |

Check the IIS Logfile.
What does the IIS Logfile show when you attempt to request the PDF?
Cheers

Hello Ken,

Mozilla/4.0+(compatible;+MSIE+6.0;+Windows+NT+5.0;+SIK30)
I think URL Scan is rejecting the stuff!!!. Thanks dude.. I did not do the
basic error checking with the LOGS.
Any solution, for URL scan to accept "&" ??? Please update.
Cheers

Well, you need to find out what's in your URLScan.ini configuration that
might be blocking this.

Hi,
I'm looking in a default urlscan.ini file, and it has this in the
[DenyUrlSequences] section:
& ; Don't allow multiple CGI processes to run on a single request
I belive that this is what causes this.
