Hi,

Would anyone know of a tool that identifies how long a download will take on
various modem, DSL , etc. connections? I would like to advise visitors of a
site as to how long their wait will be for example: .wav files.

Hey,

I figured it out! I'm now looking for an application to decrease file size
and convert .wav to .mp3. Any thoughts?

No sure how accurate netmechanic.com is although I know it has existed for
years. The load speed test seems to check only images and html files,
ignoring the embedded Flash etc. The HTML code checking is equally
unreliable. Shame on me, I got only one star for my newly designed main page
but it looks perfectly alright in IE5/6, NS7, Opera 7. I think I would
choose to trust the latter.
