Post subject: Definition of B2C and B2B - Please help
Archived from groups: alt>ecommerce (more info?)

Hi,

Have been look at definition of B2C and B2B. but the terminology seems to be
used in a very vague manor when people talk about the two in real world
examples. Can anyone provide definitive definitions for B2C and B2B. Can any
one define the distinction between B2C and B2B? Who is the authority in this
area?- are their any supervisory organations as with HTML and the WC3.

Any help is kind appreciated.

Many Thanks

Surjit.

B2C is Business to Consumer sales, basically selling at retail.
B2B is Business to Business sales, it can be services, supplies or wholesale
businesses.

Each has it's own market. If your designing a site to sell to consumers it
would be different that a site that sells to other businesses.

Drop me a line if you have any other questions.

Thanks,
Dave
