I don't know if anyone would know but does Apache webserver also
possible have a DNS server built in or does any other company have a
free DNS server app that i can use, I'm trying to make my machine a
webserver and I kinda wanted to have a www.com address instead of my
ip.

Sorry, it's just a web server: no DNS, no mail, no mp3 playing Wink

Sure there are. But I doubt you really want to deal with configuring a DNS
server. Most domain registrars offer you theirs for free. If they don't,
move to another registrar.

You could always use a "no-ip" address instead if you are
worried about a dynamic ip changing. Otherwise I think the
only way to get a personal domain name is to register one. I
did it through my ISP and also have an Apache 2.0 server
(among other server apps) running at home under a "no-ip"
address.

You don't need a personal DNS server for what you want to
do.
