Trying to register some URL's on dmoz.org, but the site seems to be
down. Anyone know of any problems?

There's always problems with DMOZ.org.

Very rarely can you ever get a URL to submit on it properly (or even get on
the site itself) - usually times out or the site reports technical problems
in IE.

It has been bad for at least a year. Very slow, and sites not getting
listed. I never use it anymore.

Before McWebber reminds the group, yes I submitted them properly, I have a
number of sites listed there without problems.

I was able to add a new page on an existing website (different category)
with no problems. I use Mozilla, not IE.

OK, any possibility of listing some alternative submission sites?

I have used here http://www.webstuff.biz/resources.php once or twice,
but anyone know of some others (that are free)

You could easily start one based on alt.www.webmaster and build it pretty
quick with the people who come here.
The above was put together in a day by this guy.

What is the point of listing a site on search engines that have a Google
PageRank of 0 and no one uses?
