Post subject: DCOM error
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>inetserver>iis (more info?)

I have a W2k server running IIS 5 that I had to replace
the new boot disk on. I replaced it and restored the
system & files. After the restore I can't get my Citrix
web site to come up. I cannot access the IIS Admin snap-
in. I am getting a DCOM error 10004 "Overlapped I/O
operation is in progress" and was unable to logon. The
DCOM errors are followed by a W3SVC error 36, The server
failed to load application '/LM/W3svc/1/Root'

Can anyone help?

Tim

It sounds like a problem with the IWAM account being out of synced. Try
running synciwam.vbs, this file is located in your inetpub\adminscripts
folder. If you get an error when running this script, follow the steps in
the KB article listed below:

269367 Synciwam Utility Does Not Function and Generates Error 80110414
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=269367
