Can anyone recommend a credit card processor that
1) doesn't require a merchant account
2a) can send out "activation key" for software of our choice (we upload a
list of activation keys) OR
2b) has an export script that allows us to make the transaction completed
page and send out the activation key ourselves.
3) accept both US$ and Euro

I've been recommended to use Worldpay, because they have a good reputation
and fair prices, but they don't support 2a) and 2b). Anyone recommendations?

Other down-sides to WorldPay are their high fees if you don't have your own
merchant account, and the fact that tehy hold your funds for several weeks
before transferring to your own account.....
If youre going to be doing large volumes of transactions, then take my
advice and get yourself a proper merchant account....It will pay real
dividends in the long run.....

I don't think you'll find a credit processor that does activation keys.
It's not their business.

I'm taking a look at PayPal and try to find out how 2a and 2b is done,
though I can't find much information on this, though. There is no info on
activation keys, and very little info on what info they post/pass on with
the "auto return" feature.

Are there any good alternatives to PayPal?

Look up the documentation for IPN - Instant Payment Notification. PayPal can
post to a script on your server with all the payment details once the
payment is made. From there you can set up your script to automatically
generate a license key to be saved in a database.

You really should include the original post when replying, even if you're
replying to your own post. Just so we know what the heck you're talking
about.

Tracing back, this list might be useful to you:
