Howdy Cindi,
I'm an expert at it and I strongly recommend you do not attempt to set up
credit card transactions on your own. You and your client can get burned
badly if a credit card number gets compromised. Fines over $1,000 each are
possible.
Get your client set up with a certified shopping cart and gateway similar to
the BIZyCart Ecommerce Server (www.bizycart.com) and hosting with a company
that knows what real security is all about like BIZynet.
Try <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.authorizenet.com/alliances/carts_cert.php" target="_blank">http://www.authorizenet.com/alliances/carts_cert.php</a> for the shopping
carts that have gone through their certification process. However, they do
not certify functionality only that they properly interface with the
gateway. They all have different assets and problems.
