Credit Card Purchases

I have a question that is a bit off subject, however,
it is somewhat web related.

I pay for my monthly web hosting services via debit credit card. So,
since my web hosting company has my credit card info, does this
mean that they are privy to all purchases that I make on my debit
card - or only privy to the actual services they render to myself?

only if they are also your bank.

I suppose if the hosting company is also your isp they could monitor your
traffic and analyse the data but assuming you only use your credit card over
https they would need to decrypt it first.
