Server 1 = Win 2K Adv Server SP3, IIS Running Integrated Windows Security
Server 2 = NT Server 4.0 SP5, IIS Running Challenge Response
I have a scenario where Server 1 is hosting an application that has a link
to a static HTML page on server 2. In many cases(but not always) the
application users are being prompted for credentials when they click on this
link. Even if they re-enter their NT UserID/PWD they are still denied.
Very strange behavior. There are no NTFS permissions on server 2's folder
that holds the target Html document. These 2 servers are on different
SubNets but reside in the same NT Domain. The users that are having this
issue are coming from a different domain than the location of Server 1 & 2
but the trus relationship exists.
Any Ideas?
