Hi I have had a on-line e-store business now for six months and I dont
think I have been getting the hits that I should. If someone has some
advice for me I would like to know how to configure my meta keywords
and meta description.I need to know if it is ok to place my keywords
on my home page.

Howdy Steve,

There isn't very much you can do. You are using the same dropship catalog
thousands of other sites are and end up with the same keywords. You've done
a nicer job that many of the sites I've seen with the same catalog but the
search engines can't tell that for their rankings.

Many items similar to what you offer appear in the local grocery store and
all of the dime stores. Very hard to compete with that for sales.

Your home page is a redirect to the store pages. Search engines aren't
crazy about being redirected.

I suggest you create a home page with featured products and fill it
with as many meaningful keywords as you possibly can and links to the
main parts or your site. Meta tags aren't used as much by search
engines but I would make sure all your keywords are listed. Each item
in your catalogue needs to be optimized seperatly. Different titles,
meta keywords/description... Try to target at least one key phrase for
each item and write the product description around the phrase/s.

It will be a ton of work but you should be able to get more traffic
coming to your site.
Best of Luck
