Connection issue?

I'm running iis 6 on win server2003. From the intranet, an asp.net 2
application works just fine. From outside, however, it only connects about
30% if the time. When it connects, it works fine, but the more common
conclusion is an error message about not being able to connect - Operation
timed out.

Any ideas??

If you can connect just fine internally but externally is having an issue.
It is more than likely a firewall or networking issue not related to IIS
