Post subject: Connection to host is broken (mysql problem?)
Archived from groups: de>comp>datenbanken>mysql, others (more info?)

Hello

I think that I'm having a problem with a damaged table, but I'm not sure.

First of all, I'm using the following:

-Suse 9.0 (Kernel 2.4.21-192)
-MySQL 4.0.15
-PHP 4.3.3
-Apache 1.3.28
-Drupal 4.3.2

My Drupal website was working fine, but it suddenly stopped being able to
read/load a database table called "filestore." I used mysqlcc to check
and repair several damaged tables but I still cannot access the
filestore table when I click on the "Files" menu tab. When I click on
the Files menu tab, it should show me a list of the files that I've
uploaded to the site, but instead, I received the following error
message:

"An error occured while loading http://"server-address"/filestore:
Connection to host "server-address" is broken"

"Server-address" is my IP address.

I've checked every table in the database but they all seem to be OK.

The site is working OK otherwise. I shutdown the apache and mysql
servers, and then I replaced the filestore table with a saved copy but I
received the same error message after I restarted the services. I also
replaced the filestore.module with a fresh copy but I got the same
results.

Is there something else that I should check, or some other way that I
should try to repair it? I'm stuck.

BTW: The webpage and database are on the same server.

Thanks.

E.
