Post subject: Configuring IIS for WebDAV after installing IISLockDown and UrlScan
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>inetserver>iis (more info?)

Hi,

I have configured my IIS 5.0 and used IISLockDown and UrlScan to get secured. I have used defaults of IISLockDOwn and UrlScan for a dynamic pages (.asp) web site only.
Now I have created new directory for my WebDAV catalog. It has NTFS permitions for one account, and needed permisions in IIS also (read write, browse).
It doesn't work, because of IISLockDown and maybe because of UrlScan (I don.t know if it has blocked or removed httpext.dll).
How to configure these programs to get WebDAV working with highest security possible? I need WebDAV only for one virtual catalog, not for all web.

Thank!
Przemo

Hi,

I'm also having problems accessing WebDav with IIS5. I have URLScan
installed. I keep getting 401 errors in the log when trying to access the
server.

If anyone has any hints, I'd love to hear them!

Rob
