I have made many attempts to configure IIS (version 5) to
work with Visual Studio.Net/ASP application. There have
been multiple problems. Right now I can't map the server
and the file locations to the same site and get "HTML
error 403". The path for the application folder is
C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\
When checking the Internet Applications and Services
Manager this path does come up properly.
I believe that I have checked all security settings
(including the NTFS settings). However, there is always
the one to overlook.
Please, can you give some suggestions to a newcomer to
ASP.net?
Thank you so much,

Ursula

If you can serve a simple "Hello World!" HTML file, it's not an IIS
issue as such. Might try the asp.net forums.
