Hello. I'm having problems with the httpd created from
configure/make/make install. I'm trying to compile apache 2.0.49 on
Red Hat linux 7.2. I run configure with the following flags:
../configure --enable-mods-shared=all --enable-so --enable-ssl
apachectl will start the daemon, but will not stop it. I receive:
httpd (no pid file) not running
I've also noticed that the other http threads which are typically
started from a default build aren't started. I see a process owned by
root but no processes owned by nobody.
When I attempt a normal ./configure with no args everything runs fine.
In that I get child processes and a pid file.

Any thoughts.
Thanks

Evidently some of the options you specied aren't correct.
../configure --help will show you which options are allowed.

I found the culprit. Http was partially starting. The mod_auth_digest
module wasnt functioning properly. I commented it out and apache
started.

Thanks..
