Configuration Page will not load

My IIS installation seems to be fine but I am having problems administering
it from the local machine. I think that something with the IIS Snap-in
module is corrupt but I am not sure how to correct. Everything else seems to
be working on the machine. The particular problem I am having is when I
right click on a web in the MMC and choose properties and go to the
Directory tab, when I click the configuration button nothing happens.
However if I go to another machine and connect to the machine and do the
same thing then I am able to view the configuration page when I click this
button. Can anyone point me in the right direction for correcting this. I
have tried the knowledge base with no success to this point.

Try a new console first; start -> run -> mmc and then load the iis snap-in. If not, try reregistering some of these files from the cmd line:

ism.dll
inetmgr.dll
iisui.dll

There may be others to try; all in your inetsrv directory.
