Post subject: Completely OT: A new game that could prove interesting
Archived from groups: alt>www>webmaster (more info?)

I've invented a new game......It's a simple game.....It might not work as
I've never tried it before.....I thought of it today in work while I was
pondering something completely different......

You can only play this game successfully when there's a big queue at the
drivethrough, and you need to be sure that a few strangers cars will pull in
behind you too.....Oh, and I nearly forgot, you need a car too, otherwise
you can't play.....

Okay, here's what you do.....

1. Pull into the drivethrough and join the queue.....

2. When you get to the first window where you place your order, mumble
embrassedly something about having forgotten your wallet, or taking a wrong
turn, or else just tell them you're with the car in front.....Anything just
so you can drive on through without placing an order.....

3. Pull up to the next window and join the queue of cars waiting for
their orders.....

4. When you get to the delivery window, wind down your car window as if
waiting for your order.....

5. Hopefully the MackyDee Dude will hand you the order belonging to the
people in the car behind yours.....

6. Drive off to somewhere quiet to inspect the *prize* and see whether
you hit the jackpot or not.....

Of course, the added bonus of playing this game is that you will throw the
MacDonalds Drivethrough ordering system into complete chaos for the next
half hour or so as they try to figure out where the missing order went, and
why everyone ended up with completely the wrong orders.......

You may not win anythnig (2 balls or less in the national lottery)

You may win a single sweaty cheeseburger (3 balls in natioal lottery)

Or you may win the equivalent of 5 numbrs and the bonus ball, by landing 3
big mac meals, a fillet-o-fish, 4 happy meals, 3 smarties McFlurries, and 6
assorted flavoured shakes......

Points will be awarded depending on a number of factors.....For example, a
Fillet-O-Fish is worth more than a Big Mac, simply because no bugger ever
buys them and so the chances of getting one is a lot slimmer....
Also, points will be awarded depending on what type of ordering system they
have in place.....For example, if they have a drive-by wndow with some
teenager sat there waiting for your order, you would get more points than if
they had one of those rocks by the menu signs with a speaker and microphone
hidden within it....

Not to put a damper on things, but isn't this theft? Besides, at most
drive-thru's in North America you pay and pick up your food at the same
window so I don't get what would be so fun about such a game played here.
You're just paying for food you won't eat.

In other news, I know a guy who regularily went to drive-thru's and
ordered: A cup of gravy, salt, pepper, and a spoon. Now there's a fun
game: making bored drive-thru McDudes actually think a little Smile

There's a much simpler way to achieve that, just ask them for a plain burger

He he, sounds like fun!

Reminds me of the time I went through the drive-thru with my girlfriend.
Her car packed-in in the queue. I had to push it to the order window, then
push it to the collect window!

Quite amusing as I had to pass the side of the restaurant where people were
sitting having their meals as I was pushing the car by!

Technically yeah, but the thought of it made me laugh, so that's why I
posted it.....

 > Besides, at most

Aaaah...Here in the UK, you place your order at one window, or else through
a wee microphone by the menu signs, then you proceed to another window to
pick up your goods.....

LOLOL....The craziest thing I've actually witnessed at a drive through was 4
drunk blokes walking through the drivethrough lane in formation, as if they
were in an invisible car, and trying to place an order.....<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

You can also affect similar chaos by placing your order, but driving on
past the "meal collection" window and not collecting the order at all.

This is ideal for those who do not wish to eat the food at McD's Wink<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

list of "Sam's unworkable or unoriginal ideas" Surprised) Keep working at it
though; maybe you could come up with some way of combining your ideas? How
about stealing other's McDonalds orders using only HTML tables? SurprisedP

What a splendidly appropriate abuse of tables - a triumph of presentation
over content.

Ideal also for those not wishing to be accused of theft and perhaps makes a
bigger statement.
