Hi,

What type of e-commcerce solutions/mechanisms/applications do you use? i.e.
Miva Merchant, Paypal, Ibill... How
do you feel about using Paypal and Ibill for your Canadian clients?

I have a client who wants to sell one book and he wants a shopping cart that
accepts credit cards. They
do not have a merchant account and I'm not sure if they are interested in
getting one.

There is a slew of them all over, you may wish to check out DMOZ.

From what I can gather, and on the sites I have checked out that use our
service, MIVA/Cornerstone is the most common.

Additionally, for Debit payments, you may wish to try ours on top of your
credit card processing as a merchant account is not required.

We partnered with goEMerchant. Check out

solutions, and they seemed to have a good mix of do-it-yourself stuff for
beginners as well as API support for custom solutions like we build.

We had them tie into Authorize.Net for our account for stronger AVS, card
code, and third-party integration stuff.

I've done PayPal on various sites for me and others, but 5% + .30 or
whatever it is for every transaction is a bit high, and PayPal still comes
off un-professional. Do they still require your payer to end up creating a
PayPal account?

we use 2Checkout www.2checkout.com but their customer services leaves a lot
to be desired
