I desperately need to put an IRC chat function into a web page, that would
simply take a user directly into a particular room on a particular network.
However, I have to make it such that:

1. It is free and can be used as such
2. it can connect via both through MSIE and NS Mozilla, withOUT having to
download the entire Sun Java.

Anyone know of such a beast I can use? Thank you. -Ike

IRC is not web based. It has it's own special port channel and is in no way
directly connected to the internet.
If you have php hosting, install phpchat.

Quit handing out misinformation, Richard ... this is getting tedious.
IRC is not web-based but there are a large number of scripts of various
flavors that will connect with IRC servers and individual channels.
