Post subject: Change permission on the httpd.conf file to write files in directory
Archived from groups: alt>apache>configuration (more info?)

Hi. My Apache 1.3 run in WinXP system.
I want change permession to a particular folder
(example "C:/Programmi/Apache Group/Apache/upload") with permission
read, write and execute for all (like chmod 777 on Unix sytem).
I think to write in httpd.conf file a configuration like this:

<Directory "C:/Programmi/Apache Group/Apache/upload">
....
</Directory>

Someone can help me?

Thank you

Windows doesn't support permissions, the 'permission' of Apache are
that the file have to be readable to be processed. If you want scripts
to be executed, just use Options +ExecCGI in your <Directory> block.
Of course you're aware of the fact that mixing .html and .cgi isn't
a good idea.
