I have recently installed SBS 2003 on my server and am having a great issue trying to get the machines within the office to connect to my intranet site. Keeps giving the Page cannot be displayed error. I have checked my settings and cannot see why the page is not accessible to no other machine EXCEPT the server that it is on... when I try to access the machine using the IP, it then ives a You are not authorized to view page error... are there some sort of publishing procedures with IIS 6 that I am not aware of?

If any one has any suggestions, please respond.

Hello,

Please verify that you are using the correct machine name when accessing it
without using IP. Since the IP works (the request gets to the server), we
know that port 80 is open, and that it *should* work.

You can also ask this in:

microsoft.public.windows.server.sbs
<a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2003/community/newsgroups/dgbrowser/en-us/default.mspx?dg=microsoft.public.windows.server.sbs" target="_blank">http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2003/community/newsgroups/dgbrow.../en-us/</a>

SBS with all its "features" is a bit special, and it could be that something
of all the other software that is installed on the machine is giving you
this (for example ISA Server). The people in the SBS newsgroup probably
knows what mistakes you could have done to get this problem.

When you get a "You are not authorized...", it does not even ask to
authenticate?

This is common with a misconfiguration of ISA. Try the SBS groups for
specifics in fixing it.
