Post subject: Access to IIS through MMC
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>inetserver>iis (more info?)

Hi!
I am realy a newbie at IIS so please forgive me if this question doesn't make any sence.

I have a server with both SQL Server and IIS installed. I would like to connect to that server from my local workstation using MMC, "connect to another computer". It seems to work with SQL Server but I get access denied when I try to connect to IIS. I have tried to grant my domain user acount "Web site operators" rights and even added myself in the local administrators group on that server. Still dont have access when i try to connect to folders below "Default web site" in my local MMC. I am not administrator of my workstation PC however, do I have to be?

Does anybody have any ideas please let me know!!

Thanks!
Fredrik
