uh huh ... here's some fun: check a poster's profile and pick a thread
.... I like the way this displays the entire thread in tree form.

example:
searchdate=6/30/2003&tid=753642500&ngid=107449&searchfor=%
22Charles+Sweeney%22+%3Cme%40CharlesSweeney%2Ecom%3E&ngname=alt%2Efan%
2Efirked]

I just like the thread topic ... I haven't read it ... but I like this
and have database envy.

How's the heat?

I'm pretty careful about eliminating crossposts when I reply but alot of
them showed up on my statistics. Is it possible to blind copy to other
groups and that it wouldn't show on the post but would in the
followup??? I'm just trying to figure out how to avoid contributing to
crossposting.

I don't like the reliance on javascript. You'd think they could get that
bit right on their own products.

Sounds like California Smile

We've got our puny monsoons going on up here in the Pacific Northwest.
Funny, 'cause I spent six hours watering the entire lawn and the next
day it started raining. It's warm so it feels like thunder and
lightning and it's an effing full moon.

This may be the weekend that never ends.

so you don't get indexed at news:alt.usenet.kooks for example ;o)

don't worry about it - it's better to have flamed and lost than never to
have posted at all.

Very interesting!

I was very surprised to see most activity down about 50% on the last period.
My cable is playing up just now (blueyonder, normally no problems) so I am
on a dial-up and have not fully studied the site, I will do when I get
sorted. Therefore not sure what period was the "last period".

I see about six hot topics had AffordableHOST in the subject!

Oh my I came in 6th for the top posters...
Well that is what happens I guess when this is the only newsgroup I visit
daily. :p

That is pretty interesting. I am going to bookmark that.

well yeah...but what it knows about me includes one hell
of a lot of crossposts into newsgroups I've never even
heard of Smile

still...given the number of groups I'm subscribed to, aww
does well to come third...I'd have thought that I'd
posted more to a couple of others
