There have been updates to virus scanners, where script blocking is installed, and enabled, with no message to the user. If you have
any type of virus scanner running, look for a script-blocking feature, and turn it off. Here is an ASP Troubleshooting article:

Thank you. I hope this information is helpful.

| In Internet Explorer, please disable "Show Friendly HTTP Errors" under
| Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced and reload the page. You will see more
| information about the 500 Internal Server Error. Please post that
| information to the list.
|
| For the pages where you see nothing (infinite loop), please check the
| Windows Event Logs on the server. Post the Event ID, and Event Description
| please.
|
| Cheers

| : you are right Mr. Ken. It sometimes gives a error "500-Internal Server
| : Error" and sometimes when I try to exectute a script, the progress bar
| : of IE goes into infinite loop and nothing is displayed. Prior to windows
| : update everything was working perfectly.
