I had recently updated my windows 2000 Server online but
not all my ASP scripts are not running. I have tried to

Please explain what you mean by "not running". Do you get an error? What is
it? Do you get something, but not what you expect? etc

Cheers

Actually whenever I try to run a ASP script, it does not display any
message and sometimes it gives a error that Page cannot be displayed.
Only few of the ASP scripts are running, others are giving the same
problem

"Page can not be displayed" is a generic Internet Explorer error. There
should be more information further down the page, eg if the server name can
not be resolved, you will see "Can not find server or DNS error". If the
server is throwing a 500 error you will see "500 - Internal Server Error"

Cheers

you are right Mr. Ken. It sometimes gives a error "500-Internal Server
Error" and sometimes when I try to exectute a script, the progress bar
of IE goes into infinite loop and nothing is displayed. Prior to windows
update everything was working perfectly.

Thanks for your response

In Internet Explorer, please disable "Show Friendly HTTP Errors" under
Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced and reload the page. You will see more
information about the 500 Internal Server Error. Please post that
information to the list.

For the pages where you see nothing (infinite loop), please check the
Windows Event Logs on the server. Post the Event ID, and Event Description
please.

Cheers
Ken

There have been updates to virus scanners, where script blocking is installed, and enabled, with no message to the user. If you have
any type of virus scanner running, look for a script-blocking feature, and turn it off. Here is an ASP Troubleshooting article:

Thank you. I hope this information is helpful.
