Post subject: ASP- active server pages Error 500
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>inetserver>iis (more info?)
I just upgraded an NT IIS server to 2003 and IIS 6.0 now
my Active Server Pages .asp pages do not load or open in
the browser I get 500 Error Server Error. Yet and htm
page will open.

What do I need to change? or configure?

If you have not already done so you should enable ASP files in the 'web
service extenstions' part of the IIS MMC. By default scripting languages are
disabled in IIS 6.

Turn off IE friendly error msgs, and post the real error msgs here.
check event log too.

Enable the asp extension.

"HTTP Error 404 - File or Directory not found" error message when you
request dynamic content with IIS 6.0
