Hi,
We're running Win 2000/SP4 - IIS 5.0 (i think). Our smtp service stopped
working and we ended up having to reinstall. Upon reinstall, the SMTP
service works fine externally but gives a Permission denied error when used
in conjunction with CDonts/ASP.
upon running the asp code:
objCDOMail.Send
we get a
Microsoft VBScript runtime (0x800A0046)
Permission denied
I know it has something to do with the permissions, but we can't figure out
what is causing the error. We tried changing the "Pickup" folder permissions
for the appropriate Internet user/service accounts. The permissions are
currently "Everyone has full control". In addition the SMTP Service is
also set to allow access by IUSR_compname & IWAM_compname, TsInternetUser.
Perhaps its the permissions in the registry? I assume something was changed
upon reinstall.
Its becoming a real issue for us so any help/suggestions for debugging would
be appreciated. Thanks,
