Does anybody have any - something not as complex as Snitz or Web Wiz
Forums - somthing simple and straight forward. What do you recommend?

Ta!

I've been using ASP101 Discussion forum for about 3 years, no problems. My
forum now has over 20,000 messages in a simple MS Access database. It's very
simple (like usenet) but it works resonably fast on a vurtual server.
There's a free downlaod at

Snitz is the usual recommendation, but I agree - far too complex for many
applications.

I've been working on a project where we used the forum script made by Grey
Wyvern[1]. It's coded in PHP and uses a MySQL db, but it works on a
suitably equipped IIS server. Is very flexible - we made some mods to
wrap it in our asp templating system, but these aren't really necessary.

Guessing that I know which servers this will run on, the current
production servers do not support PHP and won't - although the dev boxes
do. However, watch this space - as they say Wink

Couldn't find an example on asp101. Is this yours?

Seems sweet enough - do you know if it supports other db engines?

Yes, that's the site. I remember when I put it up, somewhere in the readme
page they said that with a few small changes it worked well with MSql. But,
I've had no problems with the access database.

I use Table Editor 0.81 Beta from 2eNetWorX to access the database. Again,
no problems, works fine.

Regards
