We have a small (19 records!) database that is queried by asp on our web
site and it has suddenly got very slow ... a query can take 30 seconds for
the page to build!!

There are a lot of posts regarding IIS6 and Jet and I wondered whether
anybody could point me in the right direction to get to the bottom of this.

Running IIS6 on Server 2003 Web edition. All fully patched using windows
update. Server has 2 x 2.4 Xeon and 1 gb RAM. Database was built using
access 4.

Thanks

Colin

Could be the bug - but it's hard to tell. It usually causes a crash that
can be diagnosed with IISState.

Inefficient ASP/ADO coding techniques could also be responsible. Can you
post some sample code?

I have gone further and installed MySQL with the ODBC connector and
converted the database. All fine again.

Thanks for your help

Colin
