Hadn't seen any mention of this here, so I thought it was worth pointing out
to anyone else who hadn't noticed.

I've compiled up mod_ssl for this version (for Windows), incase anyone wants
them I've made them available:
http://rab.members.easyspace.com/apache-ssl/ Might save you a few minutes.

Richard.

I installed Apache 2.0.47 and added the ssl files like you directed and ssl
doesn't work. Do you have it working?
Gary.

Yes I do, with those very files from the website.

Where you upgrading a previous release, or was this a new setup? If a new
setup, did you edit the ssl.conf correctly? You will need to replace the
@@ServerRoot@@'s with your Apache path. I would also recommend commenting
out the <IfDefine SSL> at the top (and the matching </IfDefine> at the
bottom) - this saves you having to specify a define on the Apache command
line at startup. Also of course you need to generate a self signed
certificate for the server.

Make sure you have covered these points above, if it still doesn't work I
would recommend posting the contents of your config files here and I'll take
a look.

Richard.

p.s. I hadn't intended explaining how to setup SSL on apache on that page,
just a place to distribute the compiled files, but I think perhaps I will
put a bit more info on there to be more helpful.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

Ok I have updated it, added a mini how-to and changed the ssl.conf that is
in the zip file, so it is pretty much ready to run.
