If your site will use MS SQL, stay well away from OneAndOne / 1and1
In my pesonal opinion, based on several months experience with them:
Their tools generally are extremely clunky, unintuitive and hard to
work with.
The MS SQL interface is a nightmare - completely useless.
You can't contact anyone other than first-line support personnel (who
are basically just system operators and admin), except via email.
Their tech support takes days, sometimes weeks to reply to problems
(sometimes they just don't bother).
By contrast, WebHost4Life have excellent management tools and live
support (albeit via a web interface, but still you should expect
responses within the hour). They do give incentives for people to
recommend them, but, just so you know I'm being objective, I won't
give you my reference number to quote. They are also about the same
price as OneAndOne / 1and1
Whoever you go for - please, for your own sanity, not OneAndOne /
1and1 !!
