I am now currently locked out of my control panel with 123reg.com.
Found this out when i tried to log in. Got an email from them saying
that i must pay the £11.75 for a charge back. I have not used a credit
card with them for 4 months! They have done this before to me and when
i finally get back in i will move all my domains. Does anyone have any
suggestions for Providers that are cheap and dont have a silly 0900
customer support number? I wont use UK2.net because of pass problems.

Regards Bob

Please post for all to be able to know it (given "DejaNews" aka Google
for those without a decent newsreader to keep such a post).

sorry, I love my account too much to issue a telephone number to the world
without permission ;p
get yourself an account and ask nicely.... they *might* just let you know if
they value your business.

I had wrongly assumed it was "public information", hence that request.

>get yourself an account and ask nicely

I have an account, but have no need at present to call them, but might
remember to ask if there is some need in future...

Why? I've got a multitude of domains with them, and *never* had any issues.
I also use them extensively for email; ditto the above.

They do lack speed on the support side, but if anything is that critical,
then yes, use a different provider who you can turn to in the hour of need.
For that, without a shadow of a doubt, use Hostroute. Fantastic service!

But 1&1 aren't a company to be swept aside, IMO, the OP should definitely
consider them if he is looking for a direct alternative.

When you log on to your account at LiquidSix.com, there's a link (bottom
left) labelled "Live Support". I've never seen it online either! However,
if you click it, you go straight to a support form, and in my experience
these enquiries are consistently picked up very quickly.

Live chat always sounds like a great idea, but with those providers who
offer it, you click it, then sit and wait, increasingly irritated at being
tied to the machine. Then when you get an agent, they're trying to deal
with 17 concurrent conversations...

The quality of support at LiquidSix is actually the strongest reason to use
them, so I've no complaints about a chat service I probably wouldn't use
anyway.
