As we all know with IIS 5.1 on Win XP Pro there is a
limit to how many connections you can have which is 10,
which each connection counts as 2 so you can only have 5
clients at any given time, play with TTL's all you want
to try to get around this yaw right, anyway I was reading
around on the Internet about IIS 5.1 and I cane across a
few articles that say if you edit some registry setting
you can up the maximum number of connections that IIS
will allow to 20 which = 10 clients. I was wondering if
anyone did try any of these registry tweaks
successfully???
Win Server 2003 is jest too expensive for the home
user/hobbyist!

err.... do you NEED more than 10? Are you saying you're hosting a live
'on the web' site with XP Pro?

Yaw a live Website, Ftpsite, SQL Desktop Engine, and Mail
server,,, I got everything going... The Website is about
500 pages Max give or take some, and its all done using
MS Visual Studio .net 2003, and Dot NET Framework stuff,
about 90% of the pages end in .aspx... everything works
perfect jest my web site has become quite popular, #1
listing on Google when you search.

I use to have a Bata version of MS windows server 2003
enterprise edition that was good for a 1 year trial, but
I uninstalled it and installed XP Pro, and I don't have
the CD anymore for Win Server, and the new trial is only
good for 120 days which that's not good for anything the
stander version of Win Serve is like $800.00 some bucks
US that's a bit to much for me to spent jest play around
with at home yaw know.
